Puritanism According to Edward Leigh

This useful quote on the term “Puritan” may be familiar to some. It may appear elsewhere, but the citation below is from Edward Leigh:
“Puritan in the mouth of a drunkard doth mean a sober man, in the mouth of an Arminian it means an Orthodox man, in the mouth of a Papist it is a Protestant, and so it is spoken to shame a man out of all religion.” (Edward Leigh, A Body of Divinity, 532).
