Posted on 10. Oct, 2012 by Danny Hyde in Links, Misc.
PCA minister, James T. O’Brien is launching his new e-book publishing ministry, New Puritan Press, today. He is extensively modernizing classic Reformed books from the 17th-19th centuries. His goal is to make the treasures of our Reformed tradition easily accessible to 21st century believers. Starting Tuesday, October 9 through Thursday, October 11, New Puritan Press is giving away a free download of John Preston’s The Fullness of Christ, an exposition of John 1:14. Click the link for your free copy or go here: http://ow.ly/ekrjT Other books being released today include David Clarkson on Overcoming Worry and Thomas Vincent on Seeking God.
As George Grant writes, “The works of the Puritans are more relevant today than they have ever been. Now, thanks to the good work of James O’Brien and New Puritan Press, they are also more accessible than they have ever been. With carefully updated language, clarifying end-notes, insightful prefaces, and elegant formatting, these editions of classic works of practical spiritual wisdom should find their way into the studies, onto the iPads, and into the hearts of a whole new generation of faithful disciples.”
A once-a-month e-mail Newsletter featuring new releases is also available. Send an email requesting it to newpuritanpress@yahoo.com.
