Tullian Tchividjian responded to an article by a lady named Jen Wilkin. I very much appreciated what Mrs. Wilkin said in her article, but Pastor Tchividjian felt the need to respond, and respond quite strongly.
In addition, Pastor Tchividjian remarked: “Anyone paying attention to writing and preaching today (in both the reformed and non-reformed world) cannot deny that there is a gross confusion of categories and that the law (in all of its uses) is assumed to have the power to produce what it demands.”
Perhaps Pastor Tchividjian would be prepared to defend these sentiments and others he has made, under a bit more scrutiny? If so, here’s my suggestion: I am prepared to debate Pastor Tchividjian, a fellow PCA pastor, on these issues. We can mutually agree upon a moderator, and I’ll fly down to Florida, at my own expense, to debate him on his turf. This is a serious offer for the sake of a serious issue.
If we don’t get the chance, readers can expect an equally vigorous response to Pastor Tchividjian’s post from me in the near future, Lord willing.
